Let's hope blood is thicker than the water in those tiny cups

On monday, I submitting a letter of resignation to the member records department of the LDS church. When it is recieved, I will legally no longerbe amember. I have heard some horror stories, though, and I intend to be prepared for any chicanery they attempt to enact. If anything noteworthy goes down, expect updates here. I especially hope, however, that there will be nothing to report but a letter confirming my removal from the rolls. If anyone who reads this is searching for help on this subject, I would like to suggest Mormon no more, the helpful guide I followed to compose the letter which I will send.

A life update:

I am now living in sunny Palm Springs, California, with my eminent cousin and my girlfriend, a lovely lady if there ever was one. I am funemployed and in the middle of a two-week course on bartending, which I expect to pay some righteous dividends in the form of tip money. I intend to pursue my art, which is drawing and painting, in earnest this year. Wish me luck.

That is all.

Motorhead day

Yesterday was Motorhead day.

Allow me to explain.

I have a calendar that tells me what every day is. I mean that every day I will listen to something different. Some days it is a whole genre, some days it's only a band. Yesterday it was Motorhead.

I felt like jumping on my motorcycle and peeling out into the dusty sunset as I rocked out to tunes like "Love me Like a Reptile" and "Stone Dead Forever". My ears suffered through an aural assault, a banging blasting barfight of a musical journey. It was ugly as Lemmy. It was classic, pure classic. Motorhead is rocking and they deserve some goddamn recognition, you punk kids.

Today is Black Metal Day. A whole new report on that tomorrow.

That is all.

More is coming

New and ever so clever: Internet funnyman Foiba reviews racy low-budget horror title Moonstalker.

Upcoming:

I get my internet hooked up on the 19th. And I do mean hooked up. Pictures from the wayback visit to Laramie will come up. Blogs will be updated. Art will happen. Miniatures will be shown.

I've got more about Science and Politics, the evolution "debate" and the Brights movement. I will not blog about the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

There will be more minor show reviews and on Oct 18th, pictures and reviews from Opeth in Salt Lake City.
